“Upon viewing this site for the first time, it gave me this feeling. Too bad the feeling was, “damn it, I want that design.” Very few designs do that to me, but when I see one that fits me so well, and looks so good, I get jealous.”

Congratulations and thoroughly well done on your latest revamp of th snooch web site. Got to hand it to you it’s excellent in every way, few little trivial bugs in IE 5 on OS9 but who cares its lovely ... especially like the treatment of colour use and most importantly typography ...

By the way just started my new job at http://www.stazikerjones.co.uk in Cardiff which so far is going very well. Web design now only plays a little part in the job but it’s kind of nice do do some print work again ...

Anyway mate, congratulation once again ... I’m still in awe ...

Thanks Graham.

I’ll be writing some articles over the next few months outlining the process I went through. Basically this site is the culmination of over 12 months in design and development and a further 2 months of build.

Could you let me know the bugs in os9? I haven’t managed to test the site fully in IE5 on OS9 so any screengrabs you could send my way to outline the bugs would be much appreciated. I’ve yet to do the IE5 mac stylesheet.

I’ve just finished the print stylesheet this morning (print a page and let me know what you think).

Cheers mate, check back soon. Plenty of updates from now on.

A picture of Mark BoultonI'm a graphic designer from near Cardiff in the UK. I've been a designer for over ten years now and primarily work on the web. I'm still partial to a bit of print every now and then though. I used to work for Agency.com in London as an Art Director before working as a Senior Designer for the BBC in sunny Cardiff. This was all before I took leave of my senses and formed my own design consultancy, Mark Boulton Design Ltd.

I've got a thing about grids and typography and occasionally ramble on about them to anyone who will listen.

If you're after simple, clean and effective web design; let me know.
