Designing for the Web: Paperback available 14th April

Just a quick note. The paperback of my book, Designing for the Web, is available on the 14th April at 12pm GMT. That’s tomorrow. I have 1500 copies all ready to go, and these will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

If I sell out, I may just get another print run done. We’ll see.

Mark, can I have mine signed?

I guess you mean BST (British Summer Time) instead of GMT. Can you confirm?

Congratulations on your new book — it sounds ideal for anyone interested in graphic design, or website design (or as you said, for anyone who fancies a good read!).

    Great paypal and global economy!

Besides living in Germany, I was able to order one via 5Steps and do now looking forward to my delivery at Saturday!

I can’t wait to hold the book in my hands. Especially because the PDF has a license notice on every page with “ö“instead of “ö” in my (German) name. Looks bad.

Yes, I mentioned this to “Five Simple Steps”, but 30 hours later I have still received no reply from there.

Having a signed copy would be awesome, but I guess the book is sealed.

    Hi Mark,

Got my copy in the post today — thanks hugely. It looks wonderful. Your excellent writing style and diagrams now on full-colour glossy pages — perfect! Thanks again

Just recieved mine in the post.

I never realised how big the book actually was. Didn’t seem as long in PDF.

Hope to receive mine tomorrow. I will be eagerly awaiting the postmans arrival!

    Mark,

I purchased the pdf version about two weeks ago.  I absolutely love it.  Are there any discounts available to those who’ve already purchased the pdf?

    Josh

Finally got it and can’t wait to read it. Thanks dude!

    @AndreyM Here’s a sample of the pdf.

    Hi Mark

Initially I thought the £29.00 price tag was a bit high but after receiving it I can happily say it’s worth every penny. Nice attention to detail from the packaging to the production.

The only thing is it’s so nicely designed that I may have to buy another copy as I don’t want to crease any of the pages :)

Looking forward to the next books in the series.

    Graham

The sample look great, I will buy this next week.

Got the book last week and am really enjoying it; great section about setting up on your own which I thought was invaluable (and the UK slant on everything, which is great). It’s kind of timeless which is rare for a web design book, you’ve amazingly steered away from browser debate and nailed the design fundamentals. The only crit I have — and I can’t believe I’m making this one — is that the typeset font size is slightly too small.

Just wanted to say job well done!
