A day or so ago, the small design studio I run, Mark Boulton Design, was announced as the redesign partner for the redesign of drupal.org. Together with the outstandingly talented Leisa Reichelt and Carolyn Wood, the team at Mark Boulton Design are thrilled to part of this project. More details on the studio site.
Leisa and I will be out in Szeged, Hungary, for the biannual Drupalcon during the week of the 25th August, where we will be giving a keynote presentation on Thursday 28th. If you’re there, tap me on the shoulder and say hi.

Congratulations Mark⦠quite a coup being involved in a project of this nature. Does the redesign include Drupal’s CMS as well?
Look forward to seeing this progress.

This is definitely the best news I’ve heard in a while. I am a big fan of Drupal, and can’t wait to see what you are able to accomplish. Drupal has historically been very developer centered, I hope that your work brings some more designers into the fold.

Just can’t await to see it..

Marvelous. Open source in general and Drupal in particular have gotten a bad rap for (often) looking butt ugly. I now hold out hope that this can change!

Music to these ears. Our web team has been working with Drupal for quite some time, and taking much design inspiration from your writing along the way.
Congratulations on winning the bid, thank you for bringing your firm’s talent to drupal.org, and welcome to the Drupal community!

I’ll be following this one with interest. I’ve used Drupal before, but found its inconsistencies occasionally frustrating when writing CSS.

Thats an owner and a great benchmark to be part of leading open source. Congrats! I just started with drupal and playing with the extensible features for a site and blogs. Excited to see the re-design.
