I'm getting pretty excited about SXSW now (and a tad nervous about the panel I'll be sat on). I've already started making those essential lists before going travelling anywhere, you know, all the essentials needed for 10 days away from home: Pants, Coat (although not sure I'll need this, have you seen the temperature in Austin!), Socks, Laptop, Cash etc. etc.
In addition to these lists I've also made a list of what I'm planning on attending during the day. If you happen to be in the same panel, come and say hello—if I'm not too jetlagged, I may even say hello back! Anyway, here's my list…

I'm a graphic designer from near Cardiff in the UK. I've been a designer for over ten years now and primarily work on the web. I'm still partial to a bit of print every now and then though. I used to work for

I’d recommend you bring a spring windbreaker type of coat, last year there could still be a bit of chill in the evenings. Couple that with a sweater just in case it cools off unexpectedtly and you should be fine.

After the rain and 30-40 degree weather we had a fortnight ago, last week’s high summer 70s was a welcome change. Though I’m beginning to realize it’s gonna be hard to properly set my thermostat as long as I live here.

Yeah, you should definitely be prepared - it isn’t unheard of for us to get a freezing snap in March, though the forecast appears to be in the mid to upper 80s (Fahrenheit) through the weekend.
