I’ll switch to Small Beer as two Jamie’s in one conversation is one too many ;)

for instance create a new tab entitled ?Edit Travel? which would display a page with all entries filtered to only include travel.

Now that would be ‘the shit’. Constantly clicking edit > filter by...does my nut on sites where there’s any kind of workflow system in place.

I think I’m gonna go down the route of creating a standalone “admin” area.

Nik - Not only do I get ‘Invalid GET data’ I also get ‘Disallowed characters’ if I try and tab search results. Looks like we’re not supposed to do that however useful it would be!

Has anyone else found that you get ‘Invalid GET Data’ when trying to add a new tab a page containing search results?

I find the New Tab function _really_ useful, but it would be good if we could ‘bookmark’ search results, so for instance create a new tab entitled ‘Edit Travel’ which would display a page with all entries filtered to only include travel.

Might be an config prob on my install though, so I thought I’d post here as it seems a few experienced EE users are here.

The publish page is my main complaint as well. I had a hard enough time getting other editors to use the categories when they were on the main page now I find myself forgetting to use them myself.

The upgrade went fine for me except for the comment pages which had some issues. Paul fixed them pretty quickly though.

I think this is the first time I have commented on an entry Mark, but I’ve been a long time lurker. I really enjoy you posts.

Yeah, I’m not sure about those gradients either - that’s another thing to add to the list.

I’m not used to the show / hide thing yet either - keep forgetting to give things categories. I’ll probably have to do a stand alone form if it really begins to get on my nerves.

I haven’t got used to the revampt CP yet. I’m not sure whether all the show/hide stuff has really helped or not.

And I can’t wait to get rid of all those gradients.

Yep, always dump the cache when upgrading EE - they now tell you that in the upgrade notes.

My upgrade was seamless as ever, although feeds stopped working in Bloglines. Now working again though, as is yours.

Hurrah.

Get to play with the forums later (using them for a music site). Fingers x’ed.

hmm… they all seem ok. I’ve cleared the data files twice now. The control panel is fine. I think it may be the cache on the laptop. All is working fine on my powerbook.

Ah well. I think it’s fine now. I was getting 404’s in the CP but that was fixed with my .htaccess

Phew! But I can at least tell you what the problems might be.

First off, do you have an htaccess file to get rid of the ‘/index.php/’ bit of the url?

Are you getting the 404’s in the CP?

Also, make sure you dump all the cache in you ‘system/cache’ folder and subfolders. Then make sure permissions are 777 on all those folders.
