Objective
Kit Designer, comprised of Football Kit Designer and Rugby Kit Designer, is a Sport Kit designing website where users can design their own custom football and rugby kits online or search an extensive catalogue of ready-produced kit.
Mark Boulton Design was commissioned to design and produce a branding solution to initially work on the website with a view to being developed further into POS and other promotional literature.
Solution
The logomark solution is based on a clothing tab which could then be brought onto the garments themselves. Typographically the branding uses a masculine sans serif throughout with variations in weight to denoted the sub brands.
Colour was an important consideration throughout the process. Both sub-brands were to be seen as seperate brands in their own right, yet feel like they ‘belong’ to the family brand of Kitdesigner. Petrol blue and a rich purple were chosen after a involved colour research process.
The brand has been well received by the client and the company’s customers.
